G.W.R. Railway Signal Box Clock
very rare larger example with bell. Comes with the original owners 1933 rule book and enamel arm plaque. This clock has matching low serial numbers of 790 on the movement and case, and is dated on the inside of the rear dust cover 19th May 1902. All complete, but requires the spring balance reparing or replacing in order to run. The vendor has been quoted £80 for this, and would be happy to arrange this work to be carried out if the buyer so wishes - it was not done before offering for sale in order to maintain full originality for the buyer to decide.

Outstanding Rare Blackforest Musical Automaton Table Clock
c.1900, designed and carved in walnut as a Victorian barrel organ with a hand painted plaster & gesso figure turning the handle on the hour to play a tune. All original, recently serviced. This lovely piece has been consigned from the same collection as the Triple Bontems Singing Birds we sold in the August auction. A similar example is currently on the American 'Blackforest Treasures' site, that that one has a figure which has new hands, has been re-painted and re-dressed. The fine example we offer here is untouched, complete with its original fretted bone hands and even the original key.

Impressive Large Betty Boop
larger than life custom made and hand-painted wooden Betty Boop figure, commissioned for the Hard Rock Cafe in Nottingham, which closed in 2007.
Betty Boop made her first appearance on 9th August 1930, in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes - the seventh installment in Max Fleischer's Talkartoon series. Although Clara Bow is often given as being the model for Betty, she actually began as a caricature of singer Helen Kane.
Betty Boop was described in a 1934 court case as: "combining in appearance the childish with the sophisticated - a large round baby face with big eyes and a nose like a button, framed in a somewhat careful coiffure, with a very small body of which perhaps the leading characteristic is the most self-confident little bust imaginable".
Size approx: 72 inches (182.9 cm) High

Set of 3 Automated Figures
depicting a somewhat bizarre Canadian Nativity. These Christmas display pieces were especially designed for a shopping mall, costing over $6,000 in the early 1990s, and were apparently 'retired' due to the kids running scared from the grotto! Complete with quality storage / transport case. Working on 110v - no transformer included, but easy to obtain suitable 240-110v step-down transformers at Maplins etc.
